​Bill has lived in Fairway for sixteen years with his wife Kathleen, and in Johnson County for 28. He has two children, Christin (living in Prairie Village) and John (living in Leawood) with their seven children.

Bill received his Bachelors Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), and his Masters of Engineering from the University of South Carolina.

Like any parent, he loves spending time with his family. He also enjoys volunteering at his church and the Shawnee Indian Mission Historical Site, golfing, curling (Past President of KC Curling Club), traveling, exercising, and the performing arts.
